The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has reassured ndi Imo of the safety of lives and properties in the State.
Governor Uzodimma stated this during the Golden Jubilee Thanksgiving of Professor Maurice Iwu and his wife at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, New Owerri.
The Governor promised that the law will catch up on those behind the unrest in the State and they will not go unpunished.
He said that while we all pray for Prosperity in the State, peace and safety must be enforced for better and lasting prosperity in the State.
He added that his Government will stop at nothing to fulfil his oath of office to protect the lives of Ndi Imo and maintain peace in the State.
Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Governor, Professor Placid Njoku, Speaker Imo House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emeka Nduka, Chairman of the Council of Traditional rulers, HRH Eze C. I Illomuanya, former Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohahim, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and a host of other dignitaries.
