Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, a Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, endorsed the presidential candidate of the Labor Party, making the people of the North angry.

Gumi made it known during an interview with the SON earlier last week.

He further stated that the former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi, had a clear understanding of the problem Nigeria is going through. Sheikh Ahmad Gumi said that during his last interview with the SON, he was planning to meet with the presidential candidates of the Labor Party among his other friends who are also contesting for the presidency on other platforms.

When Peter Obie came to Kaduna with this running mate, we sat in front of people to discuss how he would solve the problems of this country.

According to him, the presidential candidate of the Labor Party is the best choice for Nigeria, and he has a clear understanding of the problems the country is facing.
