Chuka Law court sentenced James Kifo Muriuki; a man who abused his wife, to 50 years in prison. This follows his conviction for sexually abusing his wife.

Kifo led his wife to the river Kathita in Marimanti at night, demanding her to strip naked and expose to him all the guys she had slept with while he was gone in Nairobi.

Because she was apprehensive, Kifo proceeded to beat her before sprinkling pepper, salt and super glue on her private part area. He then pushed the concoction into the victim’s private parts with a knife.

Kifo was apprehended at his hideaway in Kaningo in Kitui County by a team of DCI sleuths from the Special Crime Unit, DCI Tseikuru and DCI Tharaka South Sub County. He was hiding out in the home of James Murogi; who was suspected of practicing witchcraft.
