A Traditional Ruler in Rivers State has challenged the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike to announce the Presidential candidate that they should support in the 2023 election. If you would recall that Wike has promised to announce the Presidential candidate that his people should support in January. At the moment, he’s yet to give a directive as he claimed that Negotiations are still ongoing.
The Traditional Ruler stated during the campaign that Wike should make that bold decision and tell them the way forward. He identified that the people of Rivers State believes in the same philosophy that any Presidential candidate who hates them will get nothing from them.
He said, ”Your excellency, we are tired and when we say we are tired, I mean it. Those that don’t want us in Rivers state, we don’t want them. Those that hate Rivers State, we hate them. Your excellency, we cannot continue to be in this country and be a second-class citizens. If that negotiation has not been fruitful today, we don’t want any more results from it. We want that waiting to end, tell us the Presidential candidate we should support.”
