UOESD Announces The 2023 Nigeria National Essay, Quiz And Debating Championship For Primary, Junior And Senior Secondary Students

The United Organization for Education and Sports Development Nigeria through her Education Director; Hon, Mbam Isaiah has announced the commencement of the 2023 National Essay, Quiz and Debating Championship for Primary and Secondary Schools in Nigeria. Announcing the call for application in Asaba, Delta State at the prestigious Chadef International Hotel and Resort through the endorsement of the President General; Rt. Hon. Amb Chineke, Cajethan Goodluck, he elucidated the positive impacts of the competition in the previous years noting that it has earned many students national and international scholarship awards to India, Turkey, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, along with financial rewards, mentorship and lots more since inception. The President General who witnessed the call for application ceremony during the Organization regular meetings added, “we have come a long way in this contest, the 2023 edition would mark it’s 10 years of existence and we ready to reward more pupils, students and youths that would exhibit high spirit of excellence during the course of the competition, he added”. He further called upon all the Primary and Secondary Schools, pupils and students in Nigeria to be part of the competition as great prizes awaits them.

The former Secretary General of the board ; Hon. Engr. Orakwe, Michael who was present during the unveiling of the competition added that United Organization for Education and Sports Development Nigeria as an NGO, geared towards using Education and Sports as powerful instruments in building a sustainable nation would put smiles in the faces of many contestants this edition. He however commended the over 1,000 entries submitted for evaluation during the 2022 edition and preaches for more entries this year.

✓ All the Junior Secondary School Students will be contacted for the conduct of their first round of the competition by the end of January 2023

   Stage 2 (Final Round)

✓ The top 12 Schools with the highest scores accumulated by any of their participants, six from Primary and Senior Secondary would be invited for a national Debating Championship before the leaders of Nigeria. Please note that the scores of these 12 schools would be added to debate scores to get the cumulative results during the final round and awards ceremony.

✓ The top 5 students with the highest scores from the Junior Secondary School Category would be equally invited to compete at the Grand finale before the leaders of the country.
