Popular Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwo has revealed that when her husband died a few years ago, she wanted to get married but her children pleaded with her to leave the marriage matter alone. According to Vanguard Newspaper, the actress disclosed this during a chat with her colleague, Mercy Johnson on her weekly edition of “Cook Show.”
Patience revealed that when her late husband died, she wanted to get married again but her children begged her to stay single because they don’t want people to laugh at them that their mother married in old age. She said she knew the request was selfish but she has to make the sacrifice for her family.
“I wanted to remarry, but my kids had already come of age and they pleaded with me not to marry another man. And they promised that they will be my husband. They asked me to stay single for them so their friends will not laugh at them; that at their age their mum remarried. They promise to be my husband.” She added.
