Insecurity has been one of the major threats Nigerians are facing nowadays. Even though the Buhari-led administration has been putting everything in place to make sure that normalcy returns to every region of the country, some bad people in Nigeria are still causing havocs in some region of the country.
The South-South remains threatened by militancy, kidnapping and environmental agitation. However, while some people are so unfortunate to scrape through these insecurities, some Nigerians were so fortunate to escape from the dens of these perpetrators.
On Friday, one of the victims of kidnapping in Rivers State narrated her ordeal in the hands of her abductors. While she was speaking to newsmen, she revealed that she fell into the hands of the kidnappers after chatting with one of the kidnappers. After a while, the victim was lured and she got trapped by the kidnappers and they whisked her away into the bush. On getting into the forest, the victim narrated that the kidnappers would ask their victims to undress and direct them pose for a picture. She said, “Our kidnappers asked us to undress and once you’re naked, they will take a picture of you.”
While speaking about her release, she revealed that the abductors collected the contacts of her family members and told them to pay a ransom before she was released. She also noted that she was abused on the day that she was released to reunite with her family members.
Nevertheless, the Rivers State Police Commissioner, Okon Effiong Okon disclosed that three of the suspects has been arrested and they would soon be charged to court.
