Ahead of the 2023 presidential election and following the conduct of the primary elections of the people’s democratic party and the all progressives congress that produced Atiku Abubakar, and Ahmed Bola Tinubu as the presidential candidates of the two parties, a Chieftain of the people’s democratic party, Osita Chidoka has opined that if Atiku Abubakar wins the presidential election and finishes his tenure, the people’s democratic party will zone its presidential ticket to the Southeast geopolitical zone of the country.
According to Osita Chidoka, the all progressives congress failed in that regard because in the real sense, the all progressives congress’ presidential ticket should have been zoned to the Southeast because the South-West and the south south have had the presidency.
While reacting to the current crisis within the all progressives congress ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Osita Chidoka stated “when Atiku finishes his tenure, Zoning Will only go to the Southeast of Nigeria”.
