Bola Tinubu who is the APC presidential candidate has been declared winner of the presidential election held in Rivers state on Saturday, February 25.
According to INEC results, Tinubu polled a total of 231,593 votes to defeat Peter Obi of the Labour party who polled a total of 175,555 votes. Earlier, there was a strong battle for who would take Rivers State, with the Labour Party and All Progressives Congress going neck and neck.
Results from 21 local government areas had earlier put Labour Party’s Peter Obi in a slight ead but when the results from two other local governments, one of them Obio-Akpor were later received and inputted, the figures changed drastically in favour of Tinubu.
