Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo, went live in Facebook to reveal some electoral malpractices that took place in his community on the day of election.

Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “before each presidential election, I always ensure I leave my house very early in order to organize how election materials will get to my community. This time, it was different because I did not. I felt I had an agreement with everyone in my community the night before that we should vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu but they betrayed me. I saw Labour Party and some members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) sharing dollars in my community on the day of election.”

Speaking further, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “they told me that they were following a new directive that came that morning after a meeting with Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi. The directive was for them to vote either Peter Gregory Obi of the labour party or Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party.”

Again, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is someone I knew since 1992. Throughout the NADECO period, we were together and I know what he is made of. The only time I wanted to stand by someone who stood for me during my travails, my people stabbed me.”

Lastly, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “the only reason why I parted ways with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2010 was because of former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. You can all see that when he came to campaign in my state, he acknowledged me. That is why I can never change my promise of supporting him during the election.”
