I Owe Nobody An Apology, Whether You Voted For Peter Obi Or Tinubu - Wike Says

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has responded to the breaking news that Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar led a protest to the IEC’s Abuja headquarters on Monday. The All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, was declared the winner of the recently concluded presidential election, and PDP leaders and supporters reportedly stormed the INEC headquarters wearing black clothing in protest.

One of the G-5 governors, Nyesom Wike, however, took a shot at the former vice president, claiming that while Atiku was busy protesting in Abuja, he was busy putting the finishing touches on projects in his state. The governor of Rivers State revealed during his speech at the opening of Chokocho-Igbodo Road in the Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State that he had previously warned the PDP leadership that Atiku Abubakar would not win and that they should rotate power to the south, but they had refused, and as a result, he owes no one an apology.

While taking a swipe at the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Nyesom Wike said, “I owe nobody an apology, whether you voted for Peter Obi or Tinubu, I have no problem with you. I am one of the apostles, one of those who stood firm that power must rotate to the South. This is for equity, this is for fairness and this is for justice”
