The former executive governor of Anambra state, and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, took to his social media page and reacted as Labour Party candidate, Mrs. Ireti Kingibe become the first elected female senator for the federal capital territory (FCT), Abuja.
According to the statement from the official Twitter handle of Peter Obi, and I quote, “A very hearty congratulations to senator-elect Mrs. Ireti Kingibe, the first elected female senator for the federal capital territory (FCT), Abuja. Her election is in keeping with our commitment to women and youth.
He also said that the Labour party, Obidient family, his running mate, Datti, and himself, feel gratified that she will be representing them in the FCT, and they look forward to her diligent service and contribution towards the nation-building.
