The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor, has revealed that his opponent from the Labour party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour was supposed to be his running mate.
It would be recalled that there are three front-runners that are seeking to be elected as the next governor of Lagos state. The front-runners include the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressive Congress, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour party, and Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Speaking to popular Nigerian broadcaster, Daddy Freeze during a live Facebook session on Monday, Jandor said many people are asking him to step down for Gbadebo without actually knowing the politics in the state.
He said he has been fighting godfatherism in Lagos State for a long time. He said stepping down for Gbadebo would amount to allowing godfatherism to continue.
He further said he is confident that he will emerge victorious on Saturday because the coming election is purely a different ball game as there will be no Peter Obi on the ballot.
PDP Has The Same Godfather Issues APC Has. One PDP Godfather Insisted That I Make Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour My Deputy; When I Disagreed, Gbadebo Moved To Labour Party.” Jandor told Daddy Freeze.
