The wife of the Labour Party candidate for the upcoming Lagos Guber Election, Dr. Ify Aniebo Rhodes-Vivour has reacted to a viral video of MC Oluomo making rounds online. In the video, the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee was heard threatening Igbos ahead of the Lagos Governorship election. He was heard warning Igbos to stay at their homes on election day if they know that they won’t be voting for the Governorship candidate of APC, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
MC Oluomo said, “We have begged them. If they don’t want to vote for us, it is not a fight. Tell them, Mama Chukwudi, if you don’t want to vote for us, sit down at home.”
The wife of the Labour Party candidate, Aniebo reacted to the viral video in a post she made on her official Twitter handle. She lamented why MC Oluomo hasn’t been arrested by security agencies for trying to intimidate voters. Aniebo called on the Governor of Lagos state, Sanwo-Olu to call his supporters to order.
Hear her, “This man can confidently threaten voters because he is state-backed. This isn’t the first video of him threatening voters but somehow, he still has not been arrested. Babajide Sanwo-Olu call your thugs to order. This is a democracy, not a dictatorship.”
