Senator Shehu Sani has made a humorous statement on social media regarding the recent outbursts of Senator Chimaroke Nnamani over the outcome of the Enugu East senatorial election held on Saturday, March 18.
Recall that Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, who ran under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), lost his senate seat to Kelvin Chukwu of the Labour Party.
Mr. Kelvin Chukwu polled 69,136 votes to defeat Nnamani, who received 48,701.
Since his defeat in the Enugu East senatorial election, Chimaroke Nnamani, who resigned from the PDP, has taken to social media to decry the outcome of the election. Mr. Chimaroke has been active, notably on his official Twitter handle, where he is constantly blaming some factors for his defeat.
Not long ago, he also disclosed on Twitter that the people of Enugu knew that he could never lose an election in his district. He accused some individuals of betraying and sabotaging his return to the Senate with the aim of preventing him from becoming Senate president.
Senator Shehu Sani, reacting to all these outbursts by Chimaroke, took to his official Twitter handle to jokingly say that the distinguished senator’s “surface-to-surface outbursts can match that of Russian ballistic missiles on Ukraine.”
He tweeted, “The surface-to-surface missiles of Distinguished Senator Chimaroke can match the Russian ballistic missiles against Ukraine.”
