The executive governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi who won his senatorial seat has called on his dear brother, Peter Obi to accept the victory of Tinubu. Umahi told Peter Obi to embrace the pact of peace, and concede defeat, adding that the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of Kashim Shettima came from God.
David Umahi said that since Peter Obi believes in God, himself and Atiku should join hands with Tinubu to rebuild Nigeria and reunite our people.
In his words, he said in parts:
“I plead with Nigerians, especially those who contested with them, our dear brother Peter Obi and the former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, to embrace the pact of peace, and accept victory because nothing can be except God says so. Victory of Shettima and Asiwaju came from God and since they believe in God, they should please join hands with Asiwaju to rebuild the nation, and reunite our people.”
