The House of Assembly Member-Elect for Uzo Uwani Constituency, Hon. Chukwuma Martins Ekwueme, on Thursday, expressed joy at the outcome of 2023 general elections in Uzo Uwani LGA and Enugu State in general, thanking the people of the council and the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party for his victory and that of the governor-elect, Dr. Peter Mbah.
Hon. Ekwueme who promised that his representation at the state House of Assembly would be all-inclusive, said he would bring the best to bear in the constituency.
The House of Assembly Member-Elect also paid tribute to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, the Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA, pledging to work for the people of the constituency as pay back for their supports.
His words: “Fellow constituents, yesterday’s declaration of Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as Governor-Elect of Enugu State has crowned all our struggles and efforts in these past months.
“This victory has also brought us face to face with the “Tomorrow” mantra we profess everyday.
“I therefore, want to use this medium to salute your confidence, love and massive supports for my candidacy and that of the governor-elect, as well as assure you that I will never take this for granted.
“You contested against the old and ancient devices of tribal sentiment and divisive politics but you stood your grounds.
“In commending you, I want to also assure you that I will keep all my electoral promises and ensure a greater constituency for all of us.
“Meanwhile, I want to thank our leader and Governor of Enugu state, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his love and fatherly role during this period.
“I thank our Dear council chairman, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, Ezeudo for all his assistance.
“Indeed, our tomorrow is here.
“May the almighty God bless and reward all of us. Amen.
