There Is No President-elect For Now, We Denied Tinubu 25% In FCT He Violates Section 134 - Yusuf Datti

Labour Party Vice Presidential Candidate in the February 25 elections, Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed has alleged that there is no president-elect in Nigeria presently because Bola Tinubu, the declared president-elect by INEC violates the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Yusuf Datti who spoke in an interview with Channels Television revealed that the Section 134 stipulates who to be declared and issued certificate of return and for anyone to be declared the president-elect, he must have 25 per cent votes in at least two-third of the states and also the FCT.

Yusuf Datti disclosed that it is very clear that Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar doesn’t have 25 per cent in the FCT, because they denied both of them by getting 61 per cent and as a result, Tinubu has not satisfied the requirements to be declared the president-elect.

He said, “There is no president-elect for now, we denied Tinubu 25% In FCT and he violates section 134. Section 134 stipulates who to be declared and issued certificate of return. It is only that candidate that has scored the highest number of votes and at least 25 percent in two-third of states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Now it is very clear, Tinubu doesn’t have 25 per cent in the FCT, we denied him, we got 61 per cent. Atiku does not have 25 per cent in the FCT, we denied the both of them. By the clear unambiguous provision of the constitution which must not be breached, Tinubu has not satisfied the requirements to be declared the president-elect. Accordingly, there is no president-elect for Nigeria now because the declared one violates the constitution of Nigeria”.
