Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress, has written a petition to the Directorate of State Security regarding the recent comments made by Mr. Peter Obi and his running Mate Datti Baba-Ahmed. This information is no longer news, but it is still important to note that Mr. Keyamo has submitted the petition.
It is likely that you will remember that Mr. Peter Obi made a recent appearance on a number of national TV channels, during which he discussed a few concerns with respect to the results of the presidential election in 2023.
In response to the petition, well-known Nigerian attorney Malcolm Omirhobo has criticized Keyamo for having contradictory beliefs and hypocritical standards.
According to his account, Keyamo moved quickly to petition Obi but remained mute when it came to the threats made by Mc Oluomo.
Listen to him “I implore you, Festus Keyamo, to take a seat and be filthy. You did not file a complaint with the DSS regarding Oba Elegushi’s performance of the Oro rite during the election, MC Oluomo’s threat to law-abiding citizens, or Bayo Onanuga’s xenophobic statements, all of which led to the violence in Lagos; however, you are quick to file a complaint regarding Obi and Datti’s use of their rights to freedom of expression.”
