The official spokesman of the Arewa Northern Elders Forum, Dr Hakeem Baba Ahmed has expressed his thoughts over the recent threat made to his person by an Igbo speaking lady.
In a tweet on Friday night, the elderstateman said he suspected that the lady’s outburst in reply to his recent statement urging Nigerians to respect legal issues arising from the February 25th presidential elections. As it seems, Dr Hakeem had in an earlier tweet, called on the judiciary to appreciate its historic rule while urging Nigerians to respect the electoral process. But the lady, who spoke in Igbo threatened to block him should she see any such messages again. According to the lady, Nigeria’s current situation was enough trigger for anger, so, she’ll not only block the NEF Spokesman on Twitter but also block him at his house, should she receive any other similar messages.
Meanwhile, in his reply, Dr Hakeem imagined the Igbo lady coming to his house in her angry state.
He said, “I suspected it was not my wahala, but I needed to be sure.Imagine this person turning up on your doorstep angry. You cant ask him/her in, and you cant send it away. You dont want the neighbours to see it there shouting at you either. Thank God for blocking option. Perhaps I should close my account and relocate to Uzbekistan…..i do not even know what I said wrong.”
