The Enugu State House Of Assembly Member-Elect for Uzo-Uwani Constituency, Hon. Chukwuma Martins Ekwueme, on 23rd of March, 2023, attended a cultural day celebration organized by the students of University of Nigeria Nsukka.
Hon. Ekwueme who was making his first official outing since winning the recently concluded House of Assembly elections in Uzo Uwani Constituency, was accompanied to the event by the Director General of his campaign organization, Hon. Mrs. Rita Anigbogu.
Following his presence at the event, the excited traditional ruling council in the University conferred on him the title of “Oshimiri 1 of Adaba ancient kingdom”.
The award which was presented by the Gburugburu nke Asatọ na ụlọ ọdụm of the traditional ruling council, was in recognition of Ekwueme’s love for Igbo culture and tradition.
In his remarks, Hon. Ekwueme thanked the students for their warmth reception during the event, while assuring them that his representation will cover every segment of the society, with students taking a front burner.
“I want to assure you that my representation will cover both students, working class and the unemployed,” he noted.
