Moghalu Apologises For Calling Obidient Supporters, Uncultured People Of Lazy Social Media Age

The former deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, has tendered a general Apology to allies of Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the labour Party (LP) in the 2023 presidential Election, famously known as ‘Obidients’ for referring to them as “unlettered and uncultured individuals of lazy Social Media age”.




This news was reported by Sahara News Reporters, they reported the news through their Official Twitter page on Friday 6 April 2033.

Moghalu on Thursday portrayed ‘Obidients’ as unlettered and uncultured individuals of lazy Social Media age, who don’t read or think profoundly.

Moghalu expressed this while responding to the online assaults on the Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka for saying that an endeavor made by the vice presidential candidate for the labour Party, in the just concluded presidential Election, Datti Baba-Ahmed to direct to the High Court in regards to the party’s suit challenging the presidential Election is fascist and unsatisfactory.

The former CBN deputy Governor said that Soyinka would endure their surge of reactions as he endure tyrants before.

However, on Friday, Moghalu apologized for saying “that unlettered and uncultured individuals may not completely comprehend during a time of lazy Social Media in which they don’t read or think profoundly,” while tending to ‘Obidients’.

He said on the second thought, he understood that it might be misconstructed as a brutal judgment on citizens who are hurting from the result of the 2023 presidential Election, adding that it was not his aim.
