Ozo Victor Oye and Barr Ezeokenwa Sly Jr thought it was business as usual.
On May 9, 2022 when the Supreme Court amended its earlier judgement of October 14, 2021 and deleted Oye’s name from the judgement as the National Chairman of APGA and replaced with the name of Chief Edozie Njoku, Oye and Sly, the two partners in APGA crime moved from one media house to another claiming that it was fake.
They said the judgement was forged, that it was never from the Supreme court.
On November 7, 2022 Justice Mary Odili who was the lead judge in the panel that amended the judgement wrote a letter of clarification on the controversial amendment.
Oye and Sly attacked her, called her names and dared to embarrass her if truly she wrote the letter. In a world press conference addressed by Oye on November 2022, Justice Odili became the topic of ridicule.
They wrote a petition to the IGP claiming that Chief Edozie Njoku and, Chuks Nwoga forged a Supreme Court judgement. In that petition they added Justice Mary Odili as a culprit in the forgery. Infact their police prosecutor told the FCT high court that Justice Mary Odili would be arraigned before the court. Edozie Njoku was unjustly arraigned and detained for two days in Suleja prison.
On February this year, they amended the charge and brought in the Secretary to Justice Mary Odili, a Supreme Court staff as part of the suspects.
Faced with this embarrassment the CJN had to rise to the occasion. He wrote to Chief Edozie Njoku and addressed him as the Authentic National Chairman of APGA. The CJN advised Njoku to file a motion in line with order 8 rule 16 of the Apex court to enable the Supreme Court deal with the APGA leadership crisis once and for all.
Edozie Njoku quickly filed the application as advised by the CJN. The Supreme Court on February 20th sat and heard the motion filed by Njoku. All parties were represented at the hearing.
Oye’s lawyer, Onyechi Ikpeazu urged the court to dismiss the application and affirm Oye as the National Chairman of APGA. Edozie Njoku’s lawyer urged the Supreme court to end the controversy and endorse the amendment earlier done by the Justices led by Justice Mary Odili (rtd) which deleted Oye’s name from the October 14, 2021 judgement as the national chairman of APGA and replaced same with that of Chief Edozie Njoku.
The Panel after hearing from the parties adjourned to March 24 for judgment.
On March 24, a resounding judgement was delivered. The Supreme Court upheld the application and dismissed all the arguments of Oye. The Apex court went ahead to delete Oye’s name from the Supreme court judgment of October 14, 2021 as the National Chairman of APGA and replaced it with that of Chief Edozie Njoku.
It also changed the suit number from SC/CV/686/2021 to SC/CV/687/2021. Changing the suit number made Chief Edozie Njoku not only a party to the suit but a beneficiary of the judgement.
Oye and Sly, the two evil partners immediately the judgement was delivered moved form one media house to another claiming that the Supreme court didn’t deliver any judgement. That the court only made a correction.
Few days later, the Certified True Copy, CTC of the March 24 judgement came out. It was a 42 page document. This defeated their lies that there was no judgement on March 24.
Again, they mobilised Nnanna Nzewi , Chris McCool Nwosu , Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia II , Nchekwube Anthony Dunga , OdaaOpuo Ibeneme and some Soludo data boys to deceive the public that there was nothing in the judgement to celebrate.
While they were doing that, the Supreme Court released a CTC of the Enrollment Order of the judgement on April 5.
This again sealed all their lies, falsehood and claims. It has put them into public shame and disgrace.
The Supreme Court took all these routes to end the APGA leadership crisis and controversy that almost ruined the Apex court.
Now that Chief Edozie Njoku has been duly recognized by the Supreme Court, it is time to rebuild APGA and make it truly the choice of our people.
