…Datti, Shetima and Okowa were vice presidential candidates for 2023 not Soyinka
Vice Presidential candidates debate among themselves and not with an outsider like Wole Soyinka on the duties of would be Vice President. There is no basis for Dr Datti to debate with Wole Soyinka who is a total stranger in a conversation that should be among VP candidates like Datti of LP, Shetima of APC, OKowa of PDP, etc.
Wole Soyinka’s call for a debate with Dr Datti (LP vice Presidential candidate) is like an appeal to make himself a vice presidential candidate without a political party.
Unfortunately for our dear Soyinka, we do not have an Independent candidate window in our electoral system where non-political party-nominated presidential and vice-presidential candidates can be involved.
There is also no room for proxy Vice Presidential candidate, so one won’t even say that Wole Soyinka wants to represent APC vice presidential candidate, Shetima.
