Smart Adeyemi, a senator from Kogi West, has stated that he was one of Bola Tinubu’s supporters and that Tinubu did not win the presidential election held in February.
Adeyemi praised the 2023 elections as some of the best in the country’s history and urged those who were disappointed with the results to try again next time. He also stated that Kashim Shettima and Tinubu would be the best candidates to lead the country.
According to Adeyemi, Tinubu did not win the February election, but he had already won because he had been campaigning for over a decade and had established strong connections throughout Nigeria.
He believes that becoming the Nigerian president requires more than just waking up to the position as it requires building a network that reaches every part of the country.
Adeyemi acknowledged that he speaks his mind at any point in time and emphasized that the election held in February was freer and better overall than the previous one. He praised Tinubu’s network-building skills, saying that he had been doing it for over 50 years.
