Yesterday, there was a supplementary election in Oji River state constituency. The election held on March 18, was declared inconclusive after a polling units was cancelled due to over voting.
The supplementary election took place at polling unit 001 Oji Urban Ward 2.
The Returning Officer at the end of the election declared Hon Osita Eze of the Labour Party winner. He defeated the PDP candidate.
With this latest victory, Labour Party has absolute majority in the Enugu state House of Assembly with 15 elected members. PDP has only 9 members, out of 24 seats in the state assembly.
