Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of PDP has been officially declared the winner of the 2023 Adamawa State Governorship election, for a second term in office. As announced by the returning officer of the election, Ahmadu Fintiri of the PDP scored a total of 430, 821 votes to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Aisha Binani who got 396,788. However, reacting to Binani’s loss to Fintiri, Senator Shehu Sani released a statement via his twitter handle, where he commended Senator Binani for her outing during the just concluded Gubernatorial election.
Senator Shehu Sani noted that Sen Binani symbolized courage and resilience and even though she lost, she made a great impact and sent a strong message. His statement reads;
“Not for her last minute tragic acts of political desperation and brigandage,the lady symbolised courage & resilience.She was a source of inspiration for millions of women.She dared the order & She lost,but sent a strong message & made a great impact.The future belongs to her”.
