The Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign committee spokesperson, Femi Fani-Kayode, took to social media to criticize Ethiopia’s treatment of Nigerians after a man disclosed that Ethiopia had refused to let stranded Nigerians at their border enter their country. He made this denunciation via Twitter. In response to the ongoing unrest in Sudan, the APC chairman tweeted a video on his official Twitter account of an unnamed man complaining that Ethiopians are refusing to let Nigerians in Sudan cross their border so they can return to their country.
According to the individual, who also claimed that some of the international students are allegedly ill and injured in Sudan, the international students, the most of whom are African, have fled to their communities. He continued by claiming to have communicated with some Nigerian students who were trapped in Sudan. They asserted that crossing the border with Ethiopia was one of the safest routes to escape Sudan, but that Ethiopian immigration officers supposedly only permitted immigrants other than Nigerians to do so.
Femi Fani-Kayode then stated that it is scandalous and sickening for the Ethiopians to act in this way, adding that they have a case to answer and something must be done about it. This came after this disclosure.
