There’s No Islamisation Agenda — Shettima Says

The vice-president-elect, Kashim Shettima, claims that Bola Tinubu’s upcoming administration has no plans to Islamize Nigeria. Shettima stated that Tinubu, the president-elect, cannot Islamize the country since he has not done so to his family while speaking at the inaugural speech on Saturday in Abuja.

Shettima responded to the debate over the Muslim-Muslim ticket by claiming that he purposefully chose an Igbo man who is a Catholic as his head security officer and a northern Christian as his aide de camp to foster unity.

The former governor of Borno continued by saying that the Tinubu administration understood the gravity of the work that lay ahead and that they were prepared to assist Nigerians.
