Following the contentious presidential elections on February 25, renowned attorney and Labour Party leader Barrister Kenneth Okonkwo posted on social media to share the findings of an expert analysis of election results that were allegedly uploaded from Benue and Rivers States to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IREV).
On June 15, 2023, Okonkwo claimed in a series of tweets that after expert analysis of the Benue and Rivers results was completed, it was discovered that the result sheets from 18,088 polling units across both states that were uploaded to the IREV server came out blurry and unreadable. Okonkwo is a member of the legal team representing Peter Obi at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) in Abuja.
He continued by saying that the 18,088 hazy election results for Benue and Rivers, along with the court order (Subpoena) that was used to hire the data expert’s services, were all submitted as evidence at the Tribunal by Labour Party attorneys.
The IREV findings analysis reports from Benue and Rivers, as analyzed by the experts, were presented and admitted into evidence, the author stated. We submitted his report and analysis of the 18,088 IREV polling place results that were obfuscated during the presidential election.
