In a dramatic turn of events, the Big Brother house has become divided following Adekunle’s ‘Head of House’ win and the subsequent wager task handout.
The housemates find themselves split between those eager to start planning for the upcoming wager task and those who prefer to rest, with a surprising figure among the latter group – the new Head of House, Adekunle himself.
Dressed in a stylish pink tracksuit, Mercy Eke took it upon herself to express her growing frustrations to the lounging housemates in the bedroom. “It’s your first wager, and you guys are not being serious,” Mercy exclaimed, urging them to focus on the task at hand.
However, Adekunle remained composed and unyielding in his decision. When Mercy challenged him to take over the task, he retorted that he would do so only after she is disciplined for her outburst, addressing not just the housemates but also him in a manner he found inappropriate.
Seeking a middle ground for the sake of peace, Cross and Ilebaye accompanied Mercy to the garden, encouraging the housemates to dedicate at least 30 minutes to the task. Despite their efforts, the group determined to rest, led by Tolanibanj, was adamant, claiming they could be dedicated the next day as initially planned. Adekunle chose to stick to the original schedule, much to the frustration of the more enthusiastic participants.
The task-focused housemates, including Alex, Whitemoney, Pere, Doyin, CeeC, and Princess, assembled in the garden as Adekunle woke up Uriel for a meeting. The agenda was to address the distribution of merchandise received from Moniepoint and discuss the strategies for the upcoming wager.
At the mere mention of the word “wager,” Mercy Eke abruptly left the meeting, storming off to the bedroom. She even went as far as hiding under her duvet, seemingly avoiding any conversation centered around her actions.
Adekunle did not take kindly to Mercy’s departure during a meeting he was presiding over, and he made it clear that the tables could turn when she becomes Head of House, suggesting he may respond in a similar manner.
As planned, Adekunle proceeded to address the task strategy with the dedicated housemates after the second day arena workout. Alex presented a core idea, setting the stage for brainstorming among all the participants.
Following the meeting, Mercy Eke sought a private conversation with Adekunle, and the two were seen embracing at the end of the discussion.
