Today, Mr. Governor commissioned the TEMPORARY site of the Solution Innovation District (SID) — a Technology incubation center, a digital work space and a Co-creations hub in Awka, the State capital. This is in line with his vision to build the Anambra Digital Tribe in preparation for the great launch into the 5th Industrial Revolution.
Here, users would have access to a cosy work space with steady power supply and free internet access. The operators of the facility led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, Ms. Chinwe Okoli would also provide business solutions to tech start-ups in the form of mentoring and access to financing.
Here are some amateur shots of my tour of the facility shortly before its official commissioning. Indeed, when Gov. Soludo says he wants Everything Technology and Technology Everywhere, this is his first leap of faith. Recall that the Solution Innovation District in partnership with Microsoft Africa and wootlabfoundation had trained 20,000 Anambra Youths across four main digital skills in the first and second phase of the LevelUp Anambra program coordinated virtually.
I will tell you more about the Permanent site of the SID. If you read this ask “where?”
