Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has finally spoken out about the recent viral leak of a private intimate video that circulated on social media over the weekend.

In a statement posted on her Instagram page on Sunday, Lawal revealed that the man featured in the video was her former fiancé, someone she had intended to marry.

Lawal expressed her distress at the fact that the explicit video, which was never intended for public viewing, had been shared without her consent. She emphasized that the unauthorized distribution of the video amounted to a violation of her personal boundaries and privacy.

The actress went on to explain that the incident had a significant impact on her, especially since she had maintained a strict approach to her sexuality, even practicing celibacy for some years and being selective in her dating life. Despite this unfortunate breach of her privacy, Lawal is determined not to let it break her spirit.

She took the opportunity to express her gratitude to all those who have reached out to offer support and understanding during this challenging time. Lawal also made it clear that this statement would be her only comment on the matter and thanked her continuous supporters. Additionally, she announced her intention to pursue legal action against those responsible for the leak.

She wrote, “A private video of mine from a while ago has been inappropriately shared without my consent, violating my privacy and trust. I want to emphasize that this video was done with my ex, whom I was to marry at that time, was never intended for public consumption, and its unauthorized distribution is a breach of my personal boundaries.

However, this criminal breach of privacy will definitely be treated with legal action. It really hit me funny because I have always maintained a strict approach to my sexuality, even going as far as being celibate for a few years, refusing to date often and choosing to alone most times. However, I am determined not to let this unfortunate incident break my spirit.
