Tribunal: ‘Divine Mandate Can Never Be Stolen’, Group Congratulates Senator Victor Umeh

Frontline socio-political organization, the Anambra Central People’s Forum(made up of well-meaning professionals of various calling, Traditional Leaders, the Clergies, Presidents-General, Youths and Captains of industries), has congratulated Senator Dr. Victor Umeh , OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo), ‘the Light of Igbo Nation’, on his recent meritorious victory at the Election Petition Tribunal in Awka, Anambra State capital which dismissed the Petition of the NNPP and its Candidate for lack of merit and abuse of court process in tandem with the Petition by APGA and its Candidate.

In a Press statement signed by its President, Achebe Chris, Esq., and made available to journalists in Awka, the Forum described Umeh’s mandate as ‘Divine’ and can never be stolen by gimmicks. He reckoned that the two judgements have not only validated Umeh’s victory but affirmed that he is God’s choice to represent his people at this time to champion a new era for the Igbo nation. “This is proof of God’s Grace and Divine Providence”, Achebe said.

Thanking God for the victory, he also urged those who contended the matter with him to resist the impulse of running too fast ahead of God’s timing and join hands to build a greater and better Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, adding that the hardest test of life is the patience to wait for the right moment. Achebe further admonished Politicians in the Senatorial District and beyond to “make the well-being of the people the ultimate priority, not personal ambition”. The Forum’s President who noted that only one person can be Senator at a time, said “It’s about time we all join hands to build a prosperous and enviable Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, regardless of political affiliation”. Achebe, however, urged the incumbent Senator to embrace all his detractors who, perhaps, are still struggling with the new glory that God has brought upon the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone nay Igbo nation.

Corroborating Achebe Chris, Esq., the Publicity Secretary of the Group, Dr. Uchechukwu Okeke (JP), said, “We rejoice with Ohamadike Ndigbo, and shall continue to support his quest in providing quality representation and selfless service to Ndigbo”.

Also speaking, one of the Patrons of the reputable Group and erstwhile President-General of Nnobi Progressives Union, Professor Edwin Akusoba, congratulated Senator Victor Umeh, OFR, and described him as a strong, bold, courageous, dynamic, resourceful and avowed defender of true tenets of democracy who took Ndigbo to the centre of Nigeria’s political stage where Ndigbo stood up to be counted in the nation’s political history, adding that Umeh’s name and sterling performances has continued to pierce spaces in Igboland nay Nigeria.

Commending the incumbent Senator for his diligent effort so far in the 10th Senate, Akusoba said: “His wonderful performance in the 10th Senate since inauguration, is an eye opener to the people of Anambra Central and the entire South-East geo-political zone of what a visionary, purposeful, dynamic and progressive Senator could do in law making, democratic governance and delivery of democratic dividends”.
