At least three traditional monarchs from Oriire local government area in the Ogbomoso geo-political zone, Oyo State, have tragically lost their lives.
According to sources, the monarchs were killed in a road accident that took place in the Arinkinkin area of Ogbomoso on Friday.
The three rulers were en route to attend the funeral of a relative of one of their colleagues in the zone, Oloolo of Oolo Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi.
The deceased monarchs are the Olodogbo of Odogbo, the Onibowula of Bowula, and the Alayetoro of Ayetoro, all hailing from Oriire local government.
Reportedly, the accident occurred when their vehicle collided with an oncoming truck, resulting in instant fatality.
A source from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso confirmed the incident, stating that the bodies of the monarchs have been taken to the hospital’s morgue.
The source also revealed that four individuals were involved in the accident, and the fourth person, who sustained injuries, is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
