He was apprehended by the Bauchi State Police Command for alleged possession of a firearm.

Emmanuel was said to have been arrested on December 11, while coming out of the university campus.

The statement made available to journalists on Friday further revealed that the suspect said he obtained the weapon for personal protection and security against potential criminal threats.

It partly reads, “CP Auwal Mohammed Musa psc, the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State has directed that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a discreet investigation to unravel more circumstances behind his motives for acquiring the firearm and to determine whether he has killed anyone with it after which he will be charged to court upon completion of discreet investigation.”

“Finally, the Command calls on parents, Guardians, and leaders wielding various degrees of influence to prevail on their children and wards to guide against being used as Cannon-fodders in disrupting the relative peace and tranquility enjoyed in the state.”

  1. Even if he is a military student or into a Police academy, nothing warrants him to carry fire arms. It’s like he is a cultist and should be thoroughly investigated. Can you imagine, even paying a huge dum of #120,000 just to acquire a gun when his contemporaries are looking for feeding money? The case should not be messed up oooo
