The newly elected Inter Party Advisory Council IPAC Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantele has advised on a strong political institution rather than an individual in handling political disagreements like the case of Rivers state rather than individuals.

In an interview with Arise TV News on Tuesday night after his victory on Monday as the new IPAC Chairman, Dantele stressed the need to get to the foundation of the crises, rather than attending to the symptoms, saying it will be counter productive.

He promised that the new IPAC will advise appropriately on the best way to resolve the crises in Rivers state and other states.

“What is happening in Rivers state is also prevalent in other states of the country, saying that of Rivers state is more prominent in recent times.”

“It is battle between a predecessor, the Wike and his successor Governor Fubara and called for collective bargaining.” He said.

Dantele who promised to embark on massive reconciliation of political parties in view of the outcome of the election, promised to be part of the clamor for electoral reforms in Nigeria to ensure a reliable leadership in the country.

He also called for the review of remunerations to political office holders, stating that it had allowed unfettered powers and given room to unpatriotic leadership.
