France and Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe has revealed how much he missed living a simple life, devoid of too much attention.
In a pre-interview talk with French new outlet France 2’s Envoyé Spécial, Mbappe shares insights into the challenges of being a global superstar athlete in his daily life.
The 25-year-old footballer opened up about the loss of simple pleasures due to his fame, while expressing a longing for the “spontaneity” of his youth.
He confessed that he can’t remember the last time he bought a bread at his local bakery by himself.
“These are things that were so simple, and I saw them as chores when I was a kid. Now, I’d pay big money just to be able to do those things.”
Mbappe also spoke about the structured nature of his life as a public figure. “I’ve lost my spontaneity as a human being. I can’t just go out and do things if I want to. Everything is organized now.”
When asked what he would do if he could go unnoticed for 48 hours, he expressed a desire to enjoy simple activities without being watched.
