Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface will be absent from AFCON 2023 because of an injury he sustained just six days before Nigeria’s first match.
This mirrors his absence from the U-20 AFCON, where he also missed out due to an injury a week before the tournament.
Victor has displayed outstanding form this season, contributing to 24 goals in 23 games
