Victor Osimhen has aimed an astonishing rant at the agent of Napoli teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, after claims from the winger’s representative that Osimhen will move to the Saudi Pro League in the summer.
In an interview with Georgian media 1Tv, via La Gazzetta dello Sport, Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, said he expects Osimhen to move to the Middle East at the end of the season.
“Osimhen signed a new contract, but do you really think he will spend his entire career at Napoli?“I can already tell you he will go to Saudi Arabia next summer. Napoli have raised his salary.”
Osimhen has hit back at the agent’s comments in an angry response on social media, calling Jugeli ‘filth and a disgrace’ for his comments.
“Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace,” Osimhem wrote, via Instagram.
“I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumbf***! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!!”
Osimhem scored 26 league goals to finish as Serie A’s leading scorer during the club’s title-winning campaign last season.
The 24-year-old had a public fallout with the club earlier in the campaign, however, following the release of a social media post on the club’s official channels, mocking the forward for a missed penalty. Osimhen’s agent threatened legal action against Napoli, before the relationship between the player and club was resolved.
Despite links to a number of Premier League clubs, Osimhen signed a new deal at Napoli last month, which runs until 2026.
The Nigerian is currently with the national team as the Super Eagles prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations, which begins this weekend.
