Premier League CEO Richard Masters has confirmed that a hearing for Manchester City’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) case has been scheduled.
City was charged with 115 breaches of the league’s financial rules in February last year, following a thorough investigation spanning four years.
The league stated that several alleged violations had been referred to an independent commission, covering nine seasons from 2009 to 2010.
Despite the charges, City maintains its innocence and asserts that it possesses a significant body of indisputable evidence that will prove their innocence.
Masters addressed the case during his appearance before the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee.
“There is a date set for that proceeding; unfortunately, I can’t tell you when that is, but it is progressing.
“I can’t give any details on Man City beyond saying that a date has been set; I can’t tell you when that date is,” he said.
