An unidentified retired school principal who had willingly offered to deliver ransom money to kidnappers in order to secure the release of a victim in Birnin Gwari LG, Kaduna State, is currently being held hostage.
Senator Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, revealed this information in a post on his verified social media account on Tuesday.
The captive individual has been held captive for a minimum of three days.
The post reads, “A retired School principal who volunteered to deliver ransom to kidnappers in order to secure the release of a victim has also been held by the kidnappers in Birnin Gwari LG, Kaduna state.
“He has been in captivity for three days now; the abductors made calls to his family for his ransom”.
Kaduna State, located in the North West region, has been facing significant turmoil from audacious bandits in recent years.
