Niger State Gov. Bago seeks prayers for Nigeria

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on religious leaders to sustain prayers for the Nation to surmount all the challenges confronting it.

Governor Umaru Bago stated this at a Special prayer session held in his honour at the Hauwa Wali Multi-Purpose Hall, Government House, Minna.

The Governor who commended the organizers for the session, said prayers are the most important birthday gift to him especially at 50 years of his existence.

He said he would continue to be thankful to Allah for all His favours and good health enjoyed all through the years.

Governor Umaru Bago used the medium to remind people of the need to live an impactful life to be remembered for.

The Director General, Religious Affairs, Mallam Umar Farooq Abdullahi led other Islamic Scholars in a Special prayer session for continued guidance and wisdom from Allah to the Farmer Governor.

A series of prayers were also offered for the State in particular and the Country at large.

There was also a recitation of the Holy Quran by Students from various Islamic Schools

A copy of the Holy Qur’an and sword which symbolises strength and leadership were presented to the Farmer Governor by a renowned Islamic Scholar from Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi’s Foundation.

The Governor was joined by his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba and some members of the State Executive Council.

The wife of the Governor and First Lady of the State, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago and her entourage also attended the Special Prayer Session.

Earlier, a similar Special Prayer session was held at the Governor’s Official Residence, Government House, Minna.
