Bashir Ahmad, former aide to former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has mocked the Labour Party presidential candidate during the 2023 election, Peter Obi, after he joined the Muslims at the Mosque for Iftar on Monday, March 18.
In a series of posts via his X handle on Tuesday, Obi wrote that his visit was an opportunity for him “to perform a sacred duty in line with the Ramadan season.
He wrote in part: “The primary purpose of my visit was twofold: to immerse myself in learning about the experiences of our people, particularly during this special time of Ramadan, and to provide support to those facing hardships during these challenging times.
“As part of my nationwide initiative to assist those in need, my visit to Lafia allowed me to offer aid to approximately 100 individuals and address a critical societal need by installing a borehole.
“Thereafter my team and I had the opportunity of feeding and breaking the Ramadan fast of the day with around 1000 individuals at the Maraba-Nyanya International Market Central Mosque, symbolizing unity and cooperation during this auspicious season.”
Reacting, Bashir Ahmad claimed that Obi is acting with many scripts and would continue to do so till 2027.
He wrote: “Peter Obi loves dramas; he would have to act in many scripts from now to 2027 and still end up producing an unsellable movie in the ballot boxes. I just watched his latest hit, his visit to a mosque in Nyaya where he joined Muslims during their breaking of the Ramadan fast.”
