All things being equal, the good people of Edo state will on September 21, 2024 elect a new governor to succeed Godwin Obaseki. Flagbearers of all parties have emerged and public campaign is expected to commence on April 24, 2024, less than four weeks away.
Monday Okpebolo, incumbent senator, Edo Central Senatorial District (APC); Olumide Akpata, former President, Nigerian Bar Association (LP); Asue Ighodalo, Former Chairman, Sterling Bank (PDP) and 13 other candidates will be on the ballot, vying to become the next occupant of the Edo State Government House.
