Napji, the producer behind three tracks on Davido’s third album “A Better Time,” including the hit “FEM,” has taken to social media to address unpaid royalties and publishing.
In a recent post on X, Napji revealed that despite being credited as a producer for “FEM,” “Jowo,” and “Sunlight,” he has yet to receive his rightful earnings. He disclosed that he was initially paid 500,000 Naira for each of the songs but has not received any royalties or publishing fees.
Promising to share more details as he pursues his rightful compensation, Napji highlighted his contributions to the album, which included producing “FEM,” a standout track during the #ENDSARS protests. With millions of streams on platforms like YouTube and Spotify, Napji should be entitled to a significant portion of the streaming royalties.
