Delta Council Polls – APC Calls For Immediate Sack Of Embattled DSIEC Chairman

PASSES VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON DR. JERRY AGBAIKE.

Dissatisfied with the preparation for the conduct of the forthcoming local government election by Delta State Independent Electoral Commission DSIEC, the All Progressives Congress Spokesman in the State, Mr Valentine Onojeghuo has called for immediate removal of the Chairman of the Commission,Sir, Dr Jerry Agbaike.

This was a fall out of a vote of no confidence passed by APC in Delta State while calling on Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC in the State, to toe the same line of action.

A statement released on Thursday indicated that the condition and requirements attached to the candidates contesting the Local Government Election are stringent and undemocratic, saying such arrangements was planned by the ruling party in Delta, PDP to de franchise other Political Parties from contesting the forthcoming election..

Aside that , the election timetable and guidelines impressed by the Chairman not to be ready during the stakeholders meeting find its way into the social media soon after the meeting.

” APC is also calling on IPAC Delta State, all relevant stakeholders to unite and resist to imposition of the kind of fees and 3- years tax clearance as a prerequisite to contest council election.”

” That such arrangement was planned by DSIEC and the ruling party PDP to disenfranchise other Political Parties from participating in the election.”

“We are also calling on IPAC to boycott the election if DSIEC go ahead to conduct election without abolishing those criteria.”

“It was gathered that the timetable already on social media was actually from DSIEC, but they withdrew it over the night just to suit PDP’s own timetable, but we thank God for some DSIEC staff with conscience that went ahead to expose their evil plans.”

“We also call on Dr Agbaike to urgently resign for incompetence, impartial and being biased. “

“We also call on the Delta State Governor, Rt.Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to urgently relief Dr Agbaike from the office if he truly wants to conduct a free, fair and credible council polls.” Valentine Onojeghuo stated.
