Hon. Sir Onyebuchi Okpala (Ike Agulu) was the candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha federal constituency during the 2023 general elections.
According to Mr Sunday Okpala, the chief of Staff to Sir Onyebuchi,
There is a strong indication that all is now set for the formal defection of Hon.Sir Onyebuchi Okpala (Ike Agulu) from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Mr Sunday Okpala further said that his principal, who is also a former SSA on security to H.E Gov. Willie Obiano and also a former president general of Agulu peoples Union Nigeria, rejoining APGA comes after a State wide consultations with critical Stakeholders, Associates, Party men/women and political Allies within and outside the state.
The COS to Ike Agulu also confirmed Sir Onyebuchi Okpala (Ike Agulu ) is likely to officially join APGA in the next stakeholders meeting in Anaocha schedule to hold at the Golden Tulip Agulu.
This move is to help the governor in any area he can and also to contribute his own quota in the developmental strides of the governor in the state.
