Security agents guard sacked Emir of Kano’s palace despite court eviction order

Emir of Kano’s palace

Security agents have been spotted guarding the Nassarawa residence of sacked Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, despite a High Court order barring him from parading himself as the Emir of Kano.

Akelicious reported that some stern-looking armed soldiers and policemen were spotted around the mini palace.

The court presided over by Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu on Monday, May 27, had directed the police to evict him from the mini palace at the state road. This legal tussle followed a Federal High Court ruling last Thursday which restrained the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano and suspended the law establishing the dissolved five emirates in the state. The Kano State Police Command had vowed to enforce the court order restraining the state government from dissolving five newly created Emirates in the state.
