In a show of solidarity and compliance, major streets in the South East region of Nigeria were deserted today as towns and cities came to a standstill. The sit-at-home order called by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was widely obeyed, with markets, banks, schools, and all business activities shut down.
The usually bustling streets were empty, with few vehicles seen on the roads. The compliance was total, as residents stayed indoors to observe the order.
